As far as I believe only instant payments can be made using xrp.
Xrp will be used behind the scenes and people won’t know it.
XRP is the digital asset they utilize to make the actual payment in seconds during the payment process. From what I have heard Xcurrent is closer to some kind of messaging system between banks.
My bank Jose mexico said they won’t use it if ripple be too expensive on the market, ripple is 100 dollars fukt it we use peso peso
+Som fss I think they are lying to you the more expensive xrp the cheaper the transaction. Your bank will lose money by not using xrp because people don’t want to wait 3 to 5 days for money

To put this into perspective, I recently sent funds from my UK bank to Kraken in Germany. Using my banks (Santander) fast service it took 6 hours, for which they charged me £15. Ironically Santander have adopted XRP apparantly!
