    1. There have been too many complaints of opened/used items being sold on Amazon as new. Definitely stay away from purchasing one on eBay, since they can be modified. For a small additional fee, you can have the item delivered directly from manufacturer in a matter of days via DHL.

  1. I buy a Trezor and transfer LTC to it from Coinbase. Currently, if I go to Coinbase, it shows all the LTC transaction history. Does that get wiped when you transfer all of your LTC to Trezor? Very good vid, but fast. That’s why we have a pause button to review or get screen shots. Cheers!

    1. 100% – of course!

Even BETTER. Since you own access to the private keys – you’ll be able to claim Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold and any other new currencies when it forks. BUT ONLY if you have it on trezor before the fork. This isn’t possible if you only have your money on Coinbase. I’ve increased my investments $$ for free just by having it on Trezor. Check out this video on how to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4iLvnXhwZ0

  2. When putting bitcoin in Trezor, is it then considered out of the exchange and not subject to growth?
If so, it sounds like we shouldn’t put all our bitcoin in the wallet.

    1. If you put it on Trezor it is still subject to growth. Nothing changes as far as the investment value. If you own 1 BTC on Coinbase, or Trezor. It’s still the price of 1 BTC. Makes sense?

    2. One thing I’m not clear on.

Just set up the Trez and transferred some BTC over. I see that it’s on the Trez.

While on Coinbase, I could log into my account and see what it was worth. I only see the remainder left, not all of it. Where do I find that info?

Also, I did 3 separate transactions, one for $10 and then 2 more following. Do you need 3 different addresses? I put the $10 and the second transaction with the same address. The numbers work out and I can see 3 transactions. I’d still like to see the entire value though.

  3. Although Trezor is an external device, it seems you still need to plug it to an internet connected computer, therefore hackers could potentially have access to it. Also, it seems you still need to use an online wallet to use Trezor and generate an address, that means your private key is generated and stored online. So how is it different from any other online wallet? Do I miss something?

    1. One Month wait, so you were never connected to the internet even when you were installing Trezor? Or is it only required when doing transactions from coinbase to the Trezor?

    1. Perhaps? If so put me in touch. I teach at Columbia University Business School. One of my students runs our cryptocurrency program, and I believe that I teach the only crypto class at the Business School (as of the date of this writing).

  4. If I use Trezor to buy Litecoin do I have to Register in an Exchange first ( Like Coinbase) or I can just buy Digital Coins directly with Trezor?
And what is the minimum in Dollars in an Exchange. Can I start with $400?
What are the first 4 or 5 steps using Trezor, beginning from my money in the Bank?

    1. Thanks, I will review it.
If I buy Trezor it will take days to get it. And prizes will rise, I guess I will have to wait before buying anything.
I heard is not safe to leave it on an Exchange or at a hot storage?

    2. Another question. Can I store in Trezor other bitcoins like: IOTA, Ripple, NEO?
I guess I would have to find different Exchanges to get different Coins?

    3. if I answer that, my response will be out of date in 6 months, because Trezor (and their competitor Ledger) are updating their firmware often to accomodate new tokens. So I’d suggest you just browse their website.

Trezor accepts all ERC-20 coins, Dash, ZCash, ETH, BTC, BTC Gold and Cash, etc.
      Ledger accepts Ripple.

      Read more on their sites

  5. Can you show how to send the Litecoin from your Trezor back into Coinbase in order to sell? do you have to go through the conversion of the addresses with this as well?

  6. If you have your coins in your vault wallet in coinbase will it take 48 hours to transfer to your Trezor? B/c on coinbase it takes 48 hrs when moving it out your vault wallet to another wallet!

    1. Yes I believe so. I haven’t tried it myself, but that’s what I’ve read. If you try it please write me back here to let me know your experience

  7. Thanks for this video! I have a few questions:

    1. I bought my Trezor wallet on Amazon from a 3rd party seller. The package came wrapped in plastic with 2 Trezor silver seals. How do I know that the package has not been tampered with? Is there a way to confirm this?

    2. Does the passphrase feature serve as a 25th seed word in case somebody did get access to the 24 character seed?

    3. How do I add other ERC-20 coins to my Trezor?

Looking forward to your responses. Thanks!

    1. 1. You don’t know. Although IMHO I think Amazon is fine IF it was sold by Trezor (check the seller). You could always email them directly to double check – although to be honest I’m not sure they would 100% know. Always buy direct from Trezor in the future.

      2. Yes, read more here.

      3. ERC-20. I’ll make you a video on this and publish next week. You need to use MyEther wallet, but I haven’t seen a tutorial yet I like. If you subscribe or check back I’ll get that up ASAP.

  8. 24 hours ago I did the same process and although coinbase said the transaction is complete, there is no sign of trezor receiving and showing my transaction. It was bitcoin instead of litecoin. Any comments would be appreciated.

    1. Hey Dan! I just published this video on MEW (MyEtherWallet) using Ledger. If you start +2:44 minutes it should be more or less the same setup. If this doesn’t work, I am planning on doing a Trezor specific one, and I’ll ping you when I do! Write back if this works for you!

    1. Yes, you’ll first need to remove from the Vault (I believe it takes 2 days) and put them in your wallet. AND THEN move to Trezor. It’s good that you’re using the vault though, good thinking Bill.
